A new-build single-family home in Houston, Texas. Luxora supplied and installed the full envelope of windows and doors — slim-frame black aluminum sliders, a fluted white-oak pivot entry, and a sectional oak garage door — alongside the interior fit-out: travertine island, white-oak cabinetry, plaster walls, and engineered oak flooring throughout.

The brief

A young family wanted a quiet, monolithic Texas modern — stucco volumes, dark glazing, and a calm interior that frames the courtyard rather than competing with it.

The specification

Thermally-broken aluminum sliders and casements with 25 mm sightlines, low-iron double glazing, custom white-oak pivot door with fingerprint lock, and a flush sectional garage door in matched oak veneer.

The outcome

Delivered on schedule across two install phases. Owner-reported 30% reduction in afternoon HVAC load versus the prior structure on the same lot, with no condensation through the first winter.

A hilltop backyard in Anaheim, sheltered from wind and sun.

The client's home sits on a ridge in the hills of Anaheim, California, with an open canyon view on three sides. The original yard — a built-in grill, sink, and lounge behind a frameless glass railing — was unusable most afternoons: gusts funneled up the canyon and the sun hit the counter directly from noon onward.

Luxora designed and installed a freestanding motorized louvered pergola in bronze powder-coated aluminum, sized to fully cover the outdoor kitchen and a new built-in bench and fire table. Louvers close against wind and rain and open for evening sky; the structure is anchored through the existing slab and engineered for the hillside wind loads.
